Heritage Bluffs a hidden gem
Heritage Bluffs is a great course and a hidden gem. Challenging but fair, nice course layout. It is very well maintained, the grounds crew here has done a great job. Staff here were exceptional. The greens play fast and true.
Love this course
Course is beautiful, well-maintained and a good challenge for a decent golfer without being overly difficult.
Great course!
Heritage Bluffs is such a great course. Challenging, fair, interesting layout. It was in great shape too. Well worth the drive to play here.
Beauty in my backyard!
I absolutely love this course. It's amazing to me considered its part of the park district. A tad pricey at $70 a round with a cart. Finding hotdeals on GolfNow is few and far between. Yet I spend the $70 on a regular basis. Haven't found a nicer staff yet, especially the ever so gracious starter. It truly is a hidden gem, tucked away into rolling hills and trees. I still have a different experience every round I play. If you've not played here yet? I'd definitely suggest you do!
Very nice course and the staff was very friendly. Teed off at 7am and pretty much had the course to ourselves and the grounds crew.
Great Design
This course is how all facilities should be constructed. From the practice area to the well designed course layout you will not be disappointed. Make note this is a championship golf course and choice of tees can make the golf more fun played from the correct tee. Give yourself a few minutes to putt or chip the warm up areas are available.
It is a good ride out of the Chicago area(45 min) southwest. Take the time check it out, you will enjoy the time.
Friendly staff,noce layout
Course never. Disappoints. Great shape for this time of year.Great staff.
Never Disappoints
One of my favorite courses. I try to play here at least once a year. For mid-November, the course was in great shape. Look forward to playing here again next year.
A very enjoyable day
The course is in fantastic shape for this time of year and the greens were excellent .
Becoming one of my favorite courses
Played on a sunny November Saturday. The course was really busy and rather than wait in line to tee off staff took us to hole 10 to get started right away. That is the only way we would have finished our round before sunset. The course layout is great. The greens were fairly marked up but not awful. Staff was great. Will play again for sure.
Worth the drive
This is the first time I played this course and will make every effort to play it multiple times next year, it is well worth the drive from the Chicago area. Amazing conditions for this late in the year. Greens held approach shots. Fairways allowed for roll still. Just a great course and a great deal on golf now.
Beautiful Course
This is a beautiful course, well maintained and run like a golf course should be run.
Just beautiful
My wife and I played right after a rain and the course was in great condition.
Nice course, not well run
I have played this course many times over the past 10 years. I love the layout and mixture of scoring holes and holes which require course management and you look at par or even bogey as a good effort.
We booked an afternoon twosome yesterday and the starter warned us it could be slow with a small outing finishing up and High Schoolers coming out later although he said we should be in front of them. We were cruising along fine until the 5th hole where we found 4 kids from the local school on the tee box. We asked them how they got there and they said the coach is dropping kids off on random holes. This slowed us down to a crawl but we figured we'd be ok when we hit the turn. After a very quick stop in the clubhouse, we headed to the 10th tee to find a single middle aged lady on the box. We never saw her on the front. I asked her where she came from and she said she was late for her league and was catching up. Unacceptable in my opinion, either show up on time or find your league and play makeup holes later. No apology, no "you guys paid for 18", she just teed it up and off she went. Inappropriate.
in my book! Now we are frustrated, reflected in our play, and on it went. Never saw a ranger all day. This is a park district course and it seems politics always seems to come into play. Over the years I've seen this course well managed but I'm afraid that is not the case currently. Too bad, HB is a nice track. I won't give it up, just need to pick our spots better.
Nice course
I have played this course for a long time. Usually several times a year if I can get deals. Other wise it's very pricy. The course is all way in great shape and is very challenging to play. My only complaint is some of the holes don't allow carts off of the cart path ( #6, #10, #18. ) I have asked and never been given a good reason. This makes playing # 6 and #18 very difficult to play. You need to take a lot of clubs with you. #18 you you have to park the cart between hills and walk a long way to get to your ball. These fairways are never wet so why no cart on them? Other than that it's a very fun place to golf. ( if you get a deal. )
Wonderful Course
This is a beautiful course that is challenging for all golfers. Lots of variation in the type of holes you play from the wide open to the shotmakers holes. You will love this place. The conditions have always been excellent and the staff are all very friendly. Nothing to dislike about this course.
Great course
Beautiful and challenging course. The holes aren't all similar....different challenges with plenty of bunkers, trees and water throughout the course. Designed beautifully and very well kept. It's a bargain even without the Golfnow hot deals discount.
