Reviews
Great course; overall layout and course condition is absolutely fantastic. I didn't play well, just didn't have my tee ball on point. Fairways are pretty generous. Can't wait to get back and redeem myself.
lots of elevation, scenery change, great course
Excellent course, well maintained, lots of elevation changes, hills abound. We were first twosome off and zipped through in 2 hours and 30 mins. Groups behind us were keeping pretty good pace. So, pace of play was moving good for us and 2-3 groups behind us.
Course has some wide open holes (1st hole to start) and then some very tight, trees lining both sides of the hole and ranging from 330-400 yards. Some room for drivers but, better off with 3-wood and or hybrid off tees to position for approach shots for these tree-lined holes. Two of the par 4's reached 450 yards...but were wide fairways, but, still beast of holes and in the dewey morning into the wind they were challenging holes. We definitely want to play this course again. A very fun, scenic, well-maintained, challenging course!
Slow Play
I love the layout of this course. Course conditions were average compared to other courses I play. Fairways were a little thin. Greens very soft and true. Pace of play however was terrible. Teed off about 11:15 ,2 slow groups in front of us, took 4 hours 45 minutes to play. Course was open in front of them. No marshals. Made an otherwise good day into frustration..
Heritage bluffs
Make sure to pick the right tee box for your game on this course. Even if you usually play the tips you may wanna reconsider that here, with a rating and slope of 74.9 and 140. If your game is on this course has it and much cheaper than Dubsdread for the challenge.
Fun and scenic
Was a fun course to play.
Had some nice challenges and some scenic holes.
Course was in great shape greens and fairways well maintained.
Tee boxes a little rough but not bad.
The greens are on the small side but adds a good challenge.
Overall it is a play again course.
Awesome !! Pace of play was great . Round was done in just over 4 hours.l
Very slow
The course overall is very challenging for the average player. I am an 8 handicap and I played it from 6000 yards. Took almost 5 hours as I think for the average player there are many demanding and blind shots on this course. Condition was pretty good. Probably won’t return for quite some time mainly because I waited on every shot and it took too long.
Balanced Course
I was impressed with this course. Easily accessible off I-55, friendly staff. Pretty good range. Course has a good balance of open and tight holes. I love the challenge that the fairway pinching trees pose on several holes. Most of the course was in great shape, however some of the greens tell the story of the careless golfers that play here. Many un-repaired ball marks and divots from temper tantrums. We had what appeared to be a group of 8 ahead of us that had a big impact on the pace of play. The group behind us said their cart was hit by balls fired by the group behind them a few times now on the front 9 alone.
Tough course
Very well maintained. Challenging greens . Great layout.
Great course
Course is challenging and well kept. Pace was a little slower than usual but enjoyed it.
Another great round!
Great course, i recommend playing here as soon as possible!
great time
The course was in great shape the staff was overly friendly more than helpful. There’s nothing they can do about the cold that’s for sure but overall it was great. Granted there were a ton of leaves but this time a year you’re going to find that on every golf course
Course was great, amenities not so much.
The course was in great shape after the amount of rain we received. Greens rolled true and bunkers were as good as they could be. Course is tight and rewards well placed tee shots. The only reason I gave this course 3 stars is the fact that they had only snacks at the turn. We teed off at 12:45 and made the turn at 3:15 at which point we were told the restaurant/bar was closed for the day. In addition, the cart girl was also sent home. It wasn’t the busiest day but I have never played a course where I couldn’t get at least a hotdog at the turn on a Saturday afternoon. I would recommend this course for the golf but make sure to eat before or bring your own food and beer.
Excellent public course
One of the better courses in the area. It’s a real test for ball placement. Fairways and greens in great shape.
