Not a fun day
The wind and the rough make this a really tough course. The pace of play and the entitled attitude of the people at the course that day ruined it for me. If it’s busy it’ll take atleast an hour to get through the final 3 holes on the port course. Cool holes but it’s a log jam.
You will not be disappointed.....
From the clubhouse to the course and the restaurant this place is amazing, The peace and visual aspects are wonderful. The Chicago downtown skyline in the backdrop is breath taking. This is a must play.
Chicago Golf
Harborside Golf is the perfect Chicago golf course.
Harborside -Port Course
Course is in great shape for this early in the season!
Wind was down so it played fair and was manageable.
Only negative was the cart paths are worse than Chicago
area roads! They may be the original ones which need a lot of work/investment.
STAFF AND COURSE
Excellent staff always there to service you
Course was in very good shape
Amazing course, amazing staff, amazing place to golf
Apon arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The course was a beautiful lay and in great condition. Great place to play
Wonderful day at Harborside port
Couldn't pick a greater day to play at a great golf course in great condition
Still too early on the season
Range was closed .Greens still need time to recover from a Chicago winter. Can't complain week you get a hot deal
Rough
Course was under water, bathrooms were all closed, and there were legitimate drag races happening outside the course near holes 16-18. Other than that you really can't expect more from a course in Chicago this early in the season.
Great shape for November
Always love to play Harborside. Place was in great shape, especially in November!
Used to be a great course
This used to be a great course. Unfortunately, I feel Harborside management has let it go on multiple levels. I know there has been a lot of rain lately, but the 1st cut of rough is rediculously long. Other courses are not like this. If you are not in the fairway, you literally can't find your ball 50% of the time. We spent so much time just looking for balls, then trying to hit them out. I'm talking balls that were 1 or 2 ft from the fairway. Not a fun round of golf. The cart paths are literally the worst I have ever seen at ANY course. Be prepared to hit large potholes in gravel on every hole. And the clubhouse looks dated as well. I don't understand why a course that charges sometimes over $100 can't get this right. This was not always the case here. I hope they get it together, it's not worth anywhere near what they charge. Won't be going back any time soon.
