Happy Golfer
If it wasn't for getting caught ill the rain (in the middle of our game) it would have been great. I will definitely go back on a better weather day. I did enjoy the course before it started to rain.
SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE
I GUESS SOME LOCAL BUSINESSMEN BOUGHT THE COURSE? WELL, MAYBE THEY SHOULD STICK TO OPERATING BUDGET SUPERMARKETS, THEY SURE DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE EFFORT OF REGENERATING A DILAPIDATED GOLF COURSE… JUST SAYING!!
Meh
You get what you pay for. Course was super backed up after front 9, played that in 1.25 hours and then it took an hour to play 10-13. Course was super burnt out and there was no difference whatsoever between the rough and the fairway
Major improvement
The first time I went to this course it was terrible. The fairways were 3” high, the greens were actually browns…it was like they didn’t bother to take care of it at all. Mentioned it at the clubhouse and they said it was being renovated and things would be better by 2020. I was nervous to give it a second chance though cause it was SOOOO bad the first time.
They weren’t lying. This time the course was so much better. Nicely kept fairways, greens in pretty good shape (a few had large holes that would be hard to explain how they got there), and it was a course I would definitely play again.
Not worth the $21 green fee
Tee boxes weren’t taken care of, most were clovers rather than grass. Grass wasn’t well kept. Cart was im poor shape. Driving range was not open because they hadn’t cut the grass.
Course I Blew
Well this course was always going another day to be truthful & must of shut the doors 15 or 16 years ago but mostly was never kept up in condition to continue your high & mighty ways .
We played there since our y byouth even though it sat right in the middle of a state park that was going like gangbusters to keep the course alive so to speak.
You know it never really mattered all that much until the new millinium ,and I'll tell you ,niot just the golf course Grand Marais in St Clair county that gave up their water balls ,unbelievable
Sad really sad ,oh well ,sure missed the point of Broadcasting ,but I guess >>>>-------->mp4
HORROR MOVIE
WORST THAN THE WORST MOVIE I EVET WATCHED...NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT THIS COURSE EXCEPT I DIDNT GET SHOT WHILE LEAVING TO GO HOME...VERY UNORGANIZED, UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNKEPT GOLF COURSE, NOT SURE WHY THIS TRACK IS STILL OPERATING? JUNK ALL OVER THE CLUBHOUSE AND PRO SHOP, USED WORN GOLF CART TIRES STACKED ON THE SIDE OF THE CLUBHOUSE VISIBLE YO THE PUBLIC, CLUTTER ALL OVER THE PRO SHOP COUNTER, NEED I EVEN MENTION THE COURSE CONDITIONS? DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY PLAYING HERE. THIS COURSE IS BEYOND REPAIR, TOTAL BLIGHT!!!
Needs work all over.
For $11.00 for 18 holes I thought this was a great deal. Unfortunately not so much. The course is mostly crabgrass and dirt, due to recent rains it was still very wet and smelled like sewage. The layout would have been interesting if the fairways were properly cut. However, due to water and poor drainage it was pretty bad playing out there. And the sewage smell or gray water - whatever it was, was everywhere. I will not be back.
No Customer Service
Check in was a joke the guy works there is rude and unprofessional and then you go to play on lousy tee box fairways needed mow took long time just trying to find ball and the greens well just a lousy course
Rough, challenging, crazy layout
It was my first time and they connected me with another golfer to play (actually insisted so only one cart was used which makes sense ). From the start it was clear that maintenance, course upkeep and mowing must be a challenge for this group. Tee boxes are as long as the roughs and really rough grasses. Don't think about looking
for a golf ball in the deep rough, just drop.another pill and go on. The course uses doglega and water hazards to make it quite challenging especially for a first time player.
If you are looking for a manicured golf course experience, this isn't for you. If you just want a round of golf at a fair price and a unique experience, play here.
If you can score here, you can score anywhere
Good old golf course. Postage stamp greens that are domed. I've been playing here for over 40 years. The golf course is not in good shape, it hasn't been in over 40 years, so don't go there expecting Annbriar conditions, or even Tamarack conditions. Even the normal weekend rate with a cart of $29 isn't a bad deal. A Hot Deal makes this one of the best deals around. There are several challenging holes that will test middle to long irons, depending on the tees you play, the course loses a lot of its bite from the white tees. Fivesomes and even the occasional sixsome can be the norm here. Players are pretty good about letting others play through, or the most common thing is to simply skip by them and just play those holes at the end. Just be prepared and understand the unwritten protocols and you'll have a good time. The staff is always friendly, and they don't gouge you on the cost of cold beer. I hope to see Doug out there again soon behind the counter, you are missed my friend.
no water
plenty of water stations on the course, no water in the jugs! No water in the ball washers.
greens is good shape, fairways a little rough
Not worth it, no matter how cheap the deal is.
This course is a total mess, staff, conditions, etc. I wouldn’t play here if it was free.
