Schaumburg Golf Club - Tournament/Baer Course
About
Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole course that is divided into three nines: the Tournament, Baer, and Players. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations that offer a variety of different challenges. The nines have unique designs but all the courses share an undulating terrain and well manicured tees, fairways, and greens. Due to the quality of the design and excellent conditions, the course has been host to numerous events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. The Tournament/Baer combination features plenty of water on the front nine, while the back nine is more forgiving but still dotted with strategically placed bunkers. Schaumburg is a popular course not only because of the design but also because of the country club setting at public-course prices.

Great day
Wonderful experience, the course was in great shape. Played with my wife (beginner) and were pair with a great set of guys. Course very forgiving, though some pin placements were crazy.
Great track
First round of year on the course and I could not have been happier with conditions and pace of play,
great facility overall
my hometown course, but this is not a biased review- they always do a great job at Schaumburg. Course is in great shape, greens were terrific, and practice areas are in great shape as well. As good, if not better, than just about any other public course in the chicago suburbs. And better than some of the private clubs in the area as well.
Frost Delay/Crowded
There was no notice of a frost delay on the course and we teed off an hour late as a result. Course was good but full of people. Pace of play could be an issue
Great course
First golf round of the year and first time playing at Schaumburg GC. Excellent condition especially for first week of April. Everything from the practice area, tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, greens, all was in pristine condition. Fun layout with some challenging holes. A couples drivable par 4’s are always fun also. I will definitely be returning for a second round.
Excellent as always
Staff is always very friendly and willing to help. Course was in good shape. Always a fun time golf there
Country Club Quality
After work round. No one on the course. Was beautiful. Reminded me of my buddies CC.
One of the best in the burbs!
This is consistently one of the best courses in Chicagoland….even during a drought! The course is always in fantastic shape. I shot my personal best for 9 holes (41), so it was a good day. The layout is great and allows you to use different clubs. I played the Players course, but Tournament and Baer are always in great shape as well.
