Jimbo
Great course with many challenges fair course if you hit the ball well. Several hard holes requiring accurate shots, but will reward you for keeping it play.
Well manicured
The course is in great shape. Lots of undulation both on the greens and fairway. Not a flat spot on the course. Greens are very fast compared to most courses in the area. More important to control your ball than hit it long.
Great course very challenging
We had a nice time at The Den. Only complaint that I have is that the old man behind the counter made as feel like cheapskates for using Golfnow. Hey, if you don't like people to use the deals, then don't put them on Golfnow. There was hardly anyone on the course, yet he would not allow my buddy and I to play as a 2some. He insisted that we had to be paired with the other 2some that bought the other spots on the tee time. Now, I understand that is a possibility for this deal, but when the course is emply why not just accomodate. With that said, the guys were great and we had fun.
the den at fox creek
This is a Arnold Palmer course. The course I just had the fairways plugged when I played and we have a lot of rain. usually this course is in pristine condition.it is a very challenging and attractive course
The Den
Great course, staff was friendly, gps on the carts was helpful
Greens are in terrible shape
For this course being so darn expensive the greens are in terrible shape. Good thing I paid 20 instead of 60 or I be asking for a refund.
??
Course was in great shape. Pulled in at 10:30 and parked in the front row. Course was never crowded. Played in less then 3.5 hrs. Very challenging course
nice course
Got a good deal on a great course. Greens in great shape and fast.
Must Play!
If you get a chance to play this course you will not be sorry.
Nice course
Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend better food service and more variety.
This course is in outstanding condition
First time playing there, staff was very friendly and helpful. Course is in outstanding condition. Great value.
Wonderful Aternoon
After a great friendly check in process I was able to warm up on a terrific practice area and really good practice green.
The starter then paired me with two regulars of the course who were very compatible with me regarding age and skill rather than the threesome of strangers I was scheduled to play with. Very thoughtful and caring by the course personnel.
I highly recommend this course for its total experience and the caring and gracious staff.
Best course in twin cities
One of best course in Bloomington - Normal area. The course has great fairways and fast greens. The signature par 3 across water all way are fun and challenging to play. Beware of the Fox trap (holes 5,6& 7) , if not careful they can put a sent in your score.
Jewel of Central Illinois
I've played a ton of golf courses in the area but I have just found my all-time favorite. If you're bragging about being a long hitter you will not do well. You will use every club in your bag because it's a shot-makers course. Sometimes you have to be 250 off the tee, sometimes only 165 to place yourself in the right position to score. Greens were a little beat up but the course is one of the best around.
Great Deal
Received a 15$ tee time at 2 p.m. on the 27th. This course is a very difficult layout from any tee area. Greens are almost always 10.5 on the stimp. Which, in Central Illinois, is a nice change. Many blind shots and this course is one you would need to play several times to get a feel for some of the shots. Beautiful and worth at least a $50-$60 fee.
The Den is a great course
This course is a shotmakers course. It is imperative to position yourself off the tee. What you think is a good drive can find trouble easily. There are not many level lies due to a lot of undulation in the fairways. The greens are large but you must be on the correct portion of the green to realistically make puts. The greens are smooth and probably the fastest in central Illinois.
It was a good deal for the price.
Not one of my favorite courses, but for the price offered by GolfNow it was a deal not to be passed. The dry summer has made the rough hard and sparse. Sometimes too near the green.
awesome course
great condition (only a little damp on the fairway in hole 17). great pace! finish it in 3.5 hours
The course is in great condition. Love this course
Great deal. Courses was beautiful & play was fast.
great layout, challaging greens
I have played this course a few times and love it, I have told my son about it and we had waited a couple years for the chance as we live 2 hours away. We were driving back from Kentucky and had driven 5hrs -1extra hour out of our way home and checked in only to find the front 9 with the signature holes that I told my son about was closed for arraiting. Nothing was mentioned on the Golf now site, the pro said next time he'll have to let golf now know. Would have played somewhere else had this been mentioned.
