Belk is great
Belk Park is a great course to play at. Greens have been in great shape all summer even with the amount of play that they see. Fairways are very solid with very few bad lies if any. This course has been great for me and my buddies this year. Staff is friendly and helpful, range and chipping/putting greens are always in top tier shape, and the course plays extremely well for golfers of all skill levels. Some sneaky difficult holes that will challenge you (especially from the tips) but overall you can score well here as it’s relatively flat and pretty wide open. I would highly recommend this course for anyone in the area looking to sharpen their skills.
Great, fun course
Had some challenging holes, everything was in great condition, the individuals working check-in were a great help and very friendly, the people prices for food and drink were very reasonable, and luckily played with a some great people.
Great Shape
Pace of play was steady. Condition of the course was top notch.
It's a very nice track to play. Playing from the White tees or blue give the course more character.
Big greens Big Fun
This was my first time at Belk Park and I was pleasantly surprised. We got a hot deal and at the cost it was a steal. The course is fun. Nice design. The large greens were impressive. Challenging at times but rewards good ball striking. I dont know what they charge regularly but I've seen worse courses charge $40-50 to play. *cough Orchards cough. The most interesting thing I saw and would love to talk to the Super about was the tree stump in the 3rd green. I have questions hahaha. Anyway I enjoyed it and would recommend.
For the golf now price it was a great day, I’ll try it again soon
Belk Park
Always consistently in good shape and one of the best bargains in golf around St Louis.
Almost as slow-paced as Spencer T Olin.
The condition of the course was less than average…the greens were incredibly soggy and appeared to be fertilized. The biggest issue we had was how the pace of play wasn’t balanced out. We were as patient as we could be, but when we got to the 7th hole, we grouped up with the 11:10am twosome that teed off prior to 11am. They let us play ahead at the turn and we still were stuck behind multiple slow twosomes. When we got to the tee box of the 14th, we decided to jump to the 16th, which was wide open. We played 16-18, and went back to 14 to finish the two holes we skipped. By the time we got to the parking lot to unload our equipment, The first of three groups that were ahead of us, a foursome, was just finishing #18. By skipping those holes and coming back, I’d say we saved about 40 minutes. Otherwise it would’ve been close to a 5-hour round. Either the twosomes need to be pushed ahead of the slow foursome, or the twosomes need to pair up, pacing the play out. If the golf marshall does not have the awareness to fix this issue, then Belk Park does not need a marshall.
Fairways
The greens was very good but the fair ways where not good the grass wasn’t cut, and there was pockets of water in the fairways .
