West/East at Arrowhead Golf Club
About
Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton offers 27 holes of championship golf. The entire course features water on 17 holes and 77 strategically placed bunkers. The course is divided into three nine-hole courses that can be played in different 18-hole combinations. The club opened in 1927 but two of the golf courses, South and East, were renovated in 2011, followed by the West nine a year after. The golf courses are all equally challenging but they each have a unique character. The West/East Course starts with the shortest nine but it also has one of the most intimidating water holes, the par-3 seventh, which has a green that is almost entirely surrounded by water. With such a challenging variety of courses, it is not hard to imagine why Arrowhead G.C. is considered one of the best municipal golf courses in the Chicago area.

Where are you Ranger
Goal was for a quick 9 holes after work. No ranger and a 2.5 hour 9 hole round. Just need to push the players that are taking 6 practice swings and lining up all putts. Be courteous of a twosome behind.
Fantastic peak conditions and maintenance
Only cover was the green speed was out of control…..not conducive to the public golfer
Good playing conditions considering the amount of rain we have had
Don’t think I’ll be back
Overall not a good experience. The staff was very friendly and acknowledged it was playing slow but did nothing about it. For the price to play here the greens are horrible. First time playing this course and also my last. Too many better choices out there.
Lots of fun
Played the East 9 with my son on his graduation weekend. The course was very wet because of all the rain received recently, and the grass hasn’t really started to grow yet due to very cool temps, but otherwise the course was in really nice shape. It was a longish nine due to cart path only… 2 hrs 40 mins. But we didn’t seem to be waiting much at all. Last time I played Arrowhead was 20 yrs ago… it’s completely changed and a really nice public golf club now!
Great layout, greens need a little work
Great course and fun layout. Greens need a little love but it’s been pretty cold so all in all nice course to play. I’ll definitely be back.
