Streator, Illinois has been my hometown for most all of my 64 years. I have been playing golf since I was 13,when my cousin talked me into caddying at the Streator C.C. Anderson Fields G.C. has always been a "fair test of golf" in my opinion. It has many mature deciduous trees as well as Pine & Spruce.
The length of the course is shorter than average, but accuracy off the tee is very important. Greens are small, but putt true, and are without undulations. The only sand bunker is on the 9th hole.
This course is best-suited to beginners and double-digit handicappers, although I've seen many a low-handicaper humbled by its' requirement for accuracy and distance-judgement
All in all, a good value and fun to play for anyone!
