Oak Springs Golf Course
About
Oak Springs Golf Club is tucked away amid the rolling hills and wooded plains of St. Anne. Though it feels peacefully secluded, it's conveniently situated less than an hour from Chicago. As one of the premiere golf courses in Kankakee County, it has a layout that appeals to players of all skill levels and it's also one of the most affordable rounds in the area. There are some challenging holes but the rough is very forgiving in case hitting it straight isn't one of your strengths. The front nine features fairways lined with mature trees and there are some tough par 3s to contend with. The more player-friendly back nine at Oak Springs Golf Club is wide open and offers some great scoring opportunities. There are subtle but tricky undulations throughout and you'll also run into water occasionally.

Few tweaks needed
Course layout is good. People are nice and friendly. They need a ranger. One twosome held up the course. Every time I golf there, there is no ranger and one group holds everyone up. It was also weird that some sprinklers were running and there were some areas with standing water.
Great Condition
Great condition all the way around.
Holiday weekend so pace of play was slow.
Unbelievable value and perfect course conditions.
The course was in amazing condition. I play about 40 rounds of golf a year on dozens of different courses, and this course is in my top 5. The conditions of the course are on par with some of the most expensive public courses in the entire area. And you cannot beat the price. The staff is always friendly, and cordial. If you haven't played this course, do yourself a favor and book a tee time here. You won't regret it.
Super slow
I am on the course now and not moving. Super slow! They need a ranger.
Need a ranger
Course is nice. Great layout. Pace of play was too slow. They need a ranger as the hackers don’t understand course etiquette. Sand bunkers need lots of work.
An enjoyable round
It's a short course, and has some straightforward holes. But there are also some tricks here, and a few difficult holes. #8 is a long par 3 over water. The green on #15 is crazy, with a massive slope and table top at the back. A lot of small greens that require precision. Some tight drives on the holes with old large oak trees, and OB boundary is tight on several holes. Greens were in great shape. Pace of play was great. Enjoyable round.
Pace of play
Pace of play was great today. Course was in great shape. Friendly staff.
Great hidden gem
In the middle of nowhere is this hidden gem of a course! Food, bar, range and great course for a cheap price. Check it out!
Favorite course
Great course for groups of all sizes and motivations. Sunny wide open course, incredibly kept and worth every penny.
Cheap but not great course
It was only $30 for 18 with a cart on a Saturday, but the course was not in great shape. The ground was rock solid, the greens were rock hard from being worked on recently, and there were leaves everywhere even though they don't have many trees. It just wasn't the most enjoyable course to play.
