Great course
Course was in great shape on a perfect fall day. Greens were quick with challenging pin locations.
challenging course
Eliot is long with fairway traps throughout the course. The fairways are well kept up and fairly wide. The greens are undulating and a little tough to read. My only real complaint is the greenside traps are very low on sand.
great conditions!
Course was in excellent condition. ..pace of play was a bit slow. Golfnow.com should include the cost with cart as I had to pay an extra 30 dollars more than anticipated which put a damper on what I thought was a great deal.
good course, good value
overall fun to play, pretty wide open. Greens were fast and undulating. Love the electric carts. clubhouse old and outdated but food is ok
good bang for the buck
Greens are very large and quick. Fairway bunkers mean accuracy off the tee I a a must. A good test.
pace of play
what a shame- beautiful day and only three foursomes ahead of us ( two in a cart) too bad the other foursomes were walking and were all over 60 and stopped at every out-of -bounds area to look for lost balls and when they finally reached the green--- they must of thought they were in pga finals when lining up their putts !!!!! five hours of waiting!!!!!!
Wide fairways and large, fast greens.
There's plenty of room to recover from errant tee shots and the large, fast greens are a real challenge. The one knock I have is the continued water drainage problems they have. Many bunkers become small ponds with just a little rain and it can take days to drain. Other than that it's a fair yet challenging course.
Course gets prettier every year.
Need to update/remodel the women's restroom. Very friendly staff.
had a good time
Course was a good course for all types of golfers. Price was a good value for green fees. Food and beverage no credit cards accepted ATM didn't work for our cards. Luckily we had cash stuck away. Otherwise we had a nice round.
Good course and overall value
Course is good condition especially for early in season. Has good mix of challenging holes and scoring holes. Be nice if the filled water jugs regularly though.
This is a course that offers moderate challenges. The best greens of any public course you can play

You Have to Earn It
I played Elliott Golf Course on Sunday, July 28, 2013 as a single, joining a three some. Fortunately, I played with three guys who knew the course well and could coach me with hole-by-hole strategy. I shot an 81, with 3 three-putts on the front nine. The course is in good condition; sand traps are packed hard; greens are well-kept and hilly. Pin positions were challenging, but you can score - you have to earn it; not many "gimmee" putts.
Easy fairways, tough rough, huge greens
Getting off the tee was quite simple, but if you happened to hit a wayward shot, the rough was extremely difficult as it grew in random directions (very thick). The greens were in good shape, but played mid afternoon and anything downhill was not stopping. The layout was fun and made you think about what shot you wanted to play. I will certainly be back again.
What Park District Courses Should Thrive To Be
Well maintained fairways and greens along with rolling hills make this course a pleasure to be on. The fairways are wide with managable layouts for novice golfers but still long enough to challenge advanced golfers. Large greens make for some long putts but are nice to hit on your approaches! With 4 sets of tees and a playable layout, this is a great course for groups of mixed talent.
Fun course, turf challenged
Friendly staff. Course is playable, but is turf challenged. The concession is outsourced and doesn't take credit cards. ATM is available. Reasonable valus for the money. Nice pace of play even on weekend.
