Great 9 hole
Staff does a great job here. It can get backed up but for the price that’s expected. The bunkers have been a problem for awhile but looks like they are working on them. One word of warning. Houses are close and the owners can be very territorial. If you even think your ball rolled their property just take a drop by their staked property line.

1st round of 23
Course was in excellent condition. Greens were better than last year. However, the sand traps still need a lot of work. Overall, I enjoyed the round.

I have played at Rob Roy since the mid eighties…It’s constantly improved with good management
It is one of the best 9 hole course managed by a Park District in the area. I have played in many golf courses ( 9 and 18 holes) in many countries and in many states in the U.S.A, I value playing at Rob Roy Golf Course which offers a quite challenging play for me. The management and staff are professional, friendly, accommodating

Well kept course
This course is well maintained.
The staff is friendly.
Not too many people playing and even though it is a nine hole course, you feel like you are playing at a country club.

Practice
This course is the perfect 9 hole course for amateurs as all holes are gettable but you must hit your spots. Awesome course to play in under 2 hours and you get a little bit of everything. We call it the practice course

Great neighborhood course to work on your game. Tough 8th hole with very tight fairway and water on left!

Fairways and greens in great shape
I am new to the north side and while I have many courses to play still, I was happy with Rob Roy. Overall, this was a nice pace with good course conditions at a very fair price. I will play here again.

Unfriendly course
Unfriendly staff, golfers, and just people overall. Unfortunately had a bad experience with the wife taking her out the first time on a course. The man working at the desk was rude out the gate with the first words being “TIME”. Not sure where he’s from but pretty sure people say hello or good afternoon in modern society. He made us wait 5 minutes to show up at the desk. I wanted to rent some clubs and the same man forgot that my wife was going to be the one paying and lending her card so he bangs on a window as I walk out and yells at me saying I need to pay. A random woman asking “what time are you” aggressively outside. Not to mention that the course is literally next to a busy road/senior subdivision of row homes the whole time. Everything felt rushed and unfriendly. Only good thing I can say is everything is well kept and clean. Also, a bunch of kids fishing around all the ponds and you have to warn them every time before you hit someone. Won’t be coming back unfortunately unless things get better.
