Pine Hills Golf Club
About
Opened in 1924, Pine Hills Golf Course in Ottawa, Ill. is one of the oldest courses in the area. The course is also distinctive because of its stunning landscape, which is complete with valleys, hills, and bluffs all covered with hundreds of trees. Despite being only a nine-hole layout, it's one of the most formidable rounds of golf you'll find in central Illinois. The design uses many traditional elements but it stands up to modern full-length courses. The terrain provides many of the layout's challenges. Tall pines and giant oak trees line the fairways and the different elevation changes require careful course management, as do the elevated greens. Water also comes into play frequently throughout Pine Hills Golf Course. You're only safe from both trees and water on two holes

Pine Hills
A decent 9 hole course which we played twice. Lots of leaves and acorns on various holes. Acorns are not good for taking a solid stance and a bit of course maintenance would go a long way. Decent layout and nice people. It was hot with dry areas off the area making for lots of hard pan shots. Drove just short of the 1st green and had a heck of a time finding my ball because of all the leaves just yards from the green. Acorns as mentioned before are a "big" no no when trying to chip, and should be removed.
Great course
Beautiful course in a quiet setting , it has some challenging holes but over all a fun course. Can't wait to play when the leaves change in the fall it will be absolutely beautiful . Had a great burger after the round . I would put this on my play list again !!
Great course
Love the layout of this course. A lot of trees and a creek.
Nice course, the staff is great
I like this course. The holes are a bit short but the greens are small. Huge penalties for going over. (Forest or nasty thick rough behind). Elevation changes and tilted fairways are great. They are great supporters of junior golf. It is priced well. It can get a little backed up on the weekends and league night.
Very nice nine hole course
Got up early and was the first one on the course at 7:30. We did have to content with sprinklers, but I was pleased with the course. Not real difficult, but still fun. The greens are not flat, so guys that try and drive the greens will probably roll off. Very well maintained and the greens rolled fast and true.
Excellent course
Nice layout! Not the longest course but challenging with smaller greens.
Great 9-hole course
Great facilities and staff. Fun course for all levels of play.
Sunday funday
Great staff! Food is great and comes good time. The course is so nice.
Beautiful scenery
The improvements made to the overall look of the course are very impressive! The clubhouse is second to none! Great food and drink! The course is something the new ownership should definitely be proud of. Keep up the good work!
Very scenic course
Good course. I had heard good things from many people but had yet to play it. I was pleased with the course.
