Good round
Prefect day for golf and the course was well maintained.
Hidden Gem
This is one of the hidden gems in Chicagoland. First I must say the staff is so friendly. Eleanor, Karen, Gim, Mike and everyone has been so welcoming. They greet you with a smile and take care of you promptly. Today, I skipped a hole because I had to get to work and Mike the course Marshall I believe asked if I had forgotten something as I walked back to the tee the long way around. I explained that I was skipping a hole to speed up my round (because 15 goes over a ravine and it backs up there a bit - granted I was a single and there was a threesome in front of me that weren't going slow, but of course a single will go faster). He was very understanding and immediately wished me a great last three holes. The course itself is awesome. It's a par 65 but you get to work on all your irons and the par 4s you get to work on your drive and approach. There's all kind of distances on all holes especially the par 3s. I've played now 3 times and I can already see improvement. I love the greens. Do some need some TLC...perhaps. But you always see them working on it. The practice facility is top notch. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. Oh and 21 bucks to walk 18. I'll take that every day of the week.
FAIRWAYS AND GREENS
THE FAIRWAYS WERE IN GOOD CONDITION BUT THE GREENS NEED WORK
Cheap round
If you are looking for a cheap round at an OK course look no further. Nothing here to blow you away but there is nothing wrong with it either. Wish there wasn’t so many Par 3s.
Great Practice
Par 65, but well kept tee boxes and greens. Great for practicing irons and wedges. Pace of play is perfect and love the price.
Amazing staff
I had a great time playing the course. I even walked it and was perfect. I really want to give a shout-out to the front desk people who helped me Eleanor and Luis. Thank you so much again
Interesting layout.
Perhaps they are in the process of revamping the course but it was oddly laid out. Needed to ask where the next hole was located 3 times. Descent speed of play. Good for beginners to intermediates.
Didn't see a Ranger all day, not sure if there are any!
The foursome in front of us were playing extremely slow backing up my foursome and the one behind us. They had no clue about golf etiquette and keeping up the pace and finally we went around them and had to skip the 13th hole in order to finish in under 5 hours. 5 hours on a virtually empty course is unacceptable! Do they have any rangers there?
