Marengo Ridge Golf & Country Club
About
Marengo Ridge Golf Club opened as a nine-hole course in 1963. Spread across rolling, wooded hills, the course was crafted by re-purposing an old farm. The working cattle barn was even renovated to become the clubhouse. As the golf course garnered a local following, a new nine was added in 1990. The more than 25-year difference between when the two nines were constructed give the course a unique character. The layout seamlessly blends modern techniques and classic design. The distinct topographies of each nine add even more variety. Marengo Ridge Golf Club's original nine holes weave through mature trees while the newer holes are more open and links-style. There are several tricky doglegs throughout but it isn't overly punishing if you're errant. You'll also face several water hazards and strategically placed bunkers.

Always A hit
I play Marengo a few times a year. Greens, fairways and tees are always in great shape. Bunkers need some sand and a little TLC but they are playable.
Course design is challenging and rewarding when hitting close to your shots. Highly recommended for a good price.
Great staff
Fun layout
Need a starter to group singles, twosomes & threesomes
You grab a cart and then have to figure out when to start. Need to gap groups better. Still worth playing.
Highly recommended.
Fun Course
Fun course. Challenging but good and pretty friendly layout for a course we only play 1-2 times/season.
Only bad thing this time was we were rained out after 12 holes.
Things are getting better
I play this course once a year because it has a nice layout. Over the past few years the conditions have not been good. I was pleasantly surprised this year. The fairways are in good condition and they are starting to replace some of the cart paths. The greens were very shaggy and slow but that may have been because of the rain the night before. It looks as if management is making an effort to bring this course back to where it was. That being said, the pace of play was horrendous. There were 2 open holes ahead of the group in front of us and they would not let us play through. The ranger/starter was salty and only came out at 16 and told us to keep pace. He did nothing to speed up the group ahead of us. Overall a good course and I would go back.
Fun course and a great value
Fun course with challenging water and bunkers. Dog legs that require accurate drives. Greens were in good condition. Tee boxes were average. Overall a very good course
Fun course!
Really enjoy playing here. Nice layout with some elevation but fair. Friendly staff.
Good golf great value
Always liked this course. Was beat up a few years ago but sure is back in form now. Good variation of holes. Some tough and some good birdie opportunities. Green we’re great.
This is definitely not a let it rip golf course . They’re a quit a bit of challenging holes with dog legs, and water. It rained the night before and most of the traps had 1’of water and the cart paths puddled. I don’t think it rained that much. Greens were good shape .
