A Classic DR Layout
This course could easily get $100 a round if they just put some sand in the traps. They don’t do much maintenance on 122 year old Donald Ross classic golf course and now there’s weeds growing in the sand traps ( mostly mud). I can still feel the vibe of the place way back in the days when some of the best golfers alive played big money matches. It’s a real cheap price if you could get past the bunkers.
Course is a very nice layout
Such a shame, I used to be a member here and about 2/3 of the bunkers are unplayable. Fairways okay, greens slow but not too bad. Some really good holes, just too bad about the condition.
No Longer BYOB
A lot of weeds and some bunkers that should just be covered, one green was almost unplayable due to zero grass. However, for $50 it is worth it to me personally and the location is right off the highway which is extremely convenient coming from downtown.
This course has been BYOB for as long as I can remember but when we played on the 19th that was no longer the case. This isn’t mentioned anywhere on their website.
Classic old Course, that needs repair
Very nice country club in its day. Sadly, tough times have hurt the course and club house. Many rumors that it is being sold or closing. Course needs work. Could be a great course, tons of room and challenging, but was fun to play and think about what it was. Hopefully, they find an owner that will maintain and improve. If not, course won't be here for long. Good luck. No Food or Beverage available.. only cans of soda from the club house. Tee boxes had many weeds, surprisingly greens were ok. One had tons of damage, but it was large so pin placement was on the opposite side.
