Nice Course
The front 9 is pretty straightforward, the back 9 requires strategy. Nice changes in elevation.
Great value
For $40 which includes cart, this is the best test of golf for the money in Chicagoland. Sure, it’s not perfectly groomed, but the greens are in good shape and a couple of good rainy nights and the course will play well this summer.
Nice trac
Forgot just how nice this course is.
Great condition and nice pace of play.
Friendly staff made the trip enjoyable.
I won't stay away so long this time.
Honoring our Dads!
Came out to play and honor our dads that served and went to war for all of us. Joseph Gordon Creighton Navy, Richard Watt Castles (brother still alive) Lance Corporal Marines, James Noelle Castles Air Force nose gunner B-52. Had to jump over Normandy. Made it out and passed away 5 years ago after a long good life. Golf was these officers passion and taught their children the game. We will be forever grateful for this gift, and for their service to defend and protect us all. Love this course and the servicemen we run into on the course. Thanks you for the beginning of our Memorial Day!
B-
I’m giving this course a B- for a rating. Good layout but the condition isn’t great. Greens are small and need to be worked on. Don’t think I’d make the drive from the city to play again. Worth it if you’re in the area for the price alone.
PS: the pace of play was so bad and I had a 7:10am tee off! Twosome after twosome in front of me.
Wow!
I’ve played a lot of Courses this year . The Brut a few times , Shepard’s Crook a bunch , Bonnie Brook , ThunderHawk. This Golf course for the price $35 with Cart is a must to play. The layout is excellent for the price , fairways while not short where decent enough with plenty of bunkers in play in and around the green as well as out in the fairways on many holes . They airated the greens a few days ago and while yeah there were the holes , the greens were lightening fast ! Go play this golf course in a few days and I bet you will love the greens ( if you like fast ) . I’m a honest 15 handicap, played from the Whites . Every hole was a blast to play . Par 3’s were super interesting as well as the par 5’s. By no means is it as nice as The Brute or ThunderHawk, but for the price I’d say the best around the Northern Suburbs . I liked better than DeerPath and LakeBluff and have grown up playing on those 2 tracks it $50-$60? F-that . Go play this place .
