Great value & friendly staff
The course was very nicely maintained. The staff was very nice, quick & friendly.
Pace of play was nice too.
Enjoyed very much!
Well maintained course
Played this course for the first time in 5 years. It's not ideal - don't care for the slope of fairway on a couple holes on the back 9, but it's under new ownership, and beautifully maintained. Course condition was much better than I remembered. Fits a good niche - better than the basic muni courses, not as upscale as better courses. Very enjoyable, and we were made to feel very welcome.
Fun Course
Only disappointment we had was when we made the turn. We drove up to #10's tee box where the Ranger was sending off three carts with a parent and a beginner child golfer in each cart. We were a threesome and we do not mess around, so with this discovery we had considered returning to the front nine to finish or round of eighteen holes. Alas there were two foursomes going off one on the first tee and one sitting on the lane to the first tee. This left us with the option of having to stay behind the beginners. This group finished off the 10th hole and let us around them on the 11th, (very nice of them)! We finished our round three holes ahead of the beginners group, it would have been brutal if they had not let us around. I was disappointed in the ranger, I felt she should have checked to see if anyone was making the turn. There was a twosome four holes back of us that would have eventually run into the beginners. We rolled up to 10's tee box just as the first beginner was knocking her drive 20 yards. We will definitely be back, the three of us really enjoyed the course! Pro Shop and Bar attendants were polite and speedy with their service and the ranger was also providing water and ice, very nice touch!
great scenery
a few of the fairways were under repair and clearly stated. When these fairways get repaired this will be a great venue.
The course I won't play again until they fix the fairways.
I paid $35 for a Saturday morning tee time. However, I didn't see the poor rating for the course on Golf Now. If I'd seen it, I would have played somewhere else. They have lost the grass in their fairways. I won't recommend this place to anyone. The greens are in good shape but the pace of play and the fairways are outrageous. I won't be back for a long while.
Course May Need to Temporarily Shut Down
I have played Rolling Hills in the past, but the current condition is unacceptable. The have totally lost fairways on a course at best has thin fairway grass. It is already gimmicky do to the lack of space and improper layout. With the course now in this shape I will not play it again unless there are some major changes.
I was only commenting on the current conditions and believe the course will do what it takes to amend the problems.
