Reviews
Solid
This course is great for the price. Greens, fairways, and rough were in great shape. Went on a weekday so course was pretty empty and was able to play however fast or slow I wanted. I assume it's busier n the weekends.
The Blue, Gold and Emerald are all excellent.
Greens are fast and challenging.
This is a very nice course since the new owners.
They have raised the rate but they are really taking care of the courses. The greens were super fast!
We had an excellent day!
Do not play
BEWARE!!! Place is a money grab!!! Green Garden has been my home course for multiple years. Staff was always decent but it has fallen off the edge. First, I must say that the high school cart kids and starters are the nicest people in the world but the ownership and driving range attendants are awful. Was at the chipping green before a tee time and was kicked off because I was “abusing the course” for not buying a small bucket of balls. I was already paying for a tee time so they are just trying to get me to buy more so I can use the “free” chipping green and putting green. People inside are not friendly at all and seem like they think the world is against them. Truly feel sorry for them. Tee times are overpriced and cart path is a mess. Potholes galore. Oh also. They love to cancel tee times booked online so make sure you check your emails for random cancellations :) I recommend spending your well earned money at Sanctuary, Cog Hill, Prairie Bluff or Heritage Bluffs
CRAZY GREENS
Be ready to roll off the greens 50% of the time. Insanity
South side gem
The course was in good shape. Pace of play was good. There were a fun greens that had multiple ball Mark's on them.
Pace of play
Quite a few players with no understanding of common courtesy as ma y we’re first ti eta or so it appeared
Group in front waited for green to clear from 250 out then hit 15 yards
I understand learning to play but weekend afternoon and no rangers makes it hard on everyone
We tried to go around but every hole had others being erratic and watching shots thst were going less than 50 yards
May be time to try miniature golf or some and learn before trying these great courses
Very interesting
It was threatening rain and then starting raining lightly 1/2 through my round. The benefit was that I had the course to myself. Holes are interesting and conditions are very good. What's odd about this course is that the front nine has short par 4s, and the back nine has 4 I think that are over 400 yards, one being 460 yards. The average golfer would find the front nine enjoyable but the back nine might be a bit overwhelming.
