Hickory Point Golf Course in Decatur is one of central Illinois' most popular courses. It has a player-friendly layout that appeals to a wide range of skill levels. The course features flat, wide fairways that make it ideal for beginners while the lengthy holes and blustery winds provide enough of a challenge for more advanced players. The par 4s are particularly long. There are some tricky holes, but you'll do well as long as you're able to keep the ball in the ample fairways. There are strategically placed bunkers coming into play as well as a few water hazards. You'll have to cross a creek on the 16th hole. Hickory Point G.C. also offers a lighted driving range and a six-hole course built specifically for beginning and youth golfers.

Tough course but fair, a little pricey for Decatur area. Greens n great shape

Enjoyed playing this well managed course. You must play this course and eat at one of the local restaurants or grab a sandwich at the course when you are in the area.

Always tough track in great shape. Too many straight long holes but fun course
Poor golf etiquette on the course. Extremely slow pace of play. Very rude players and a terrible golf experience. Do not plan to come back to this course.

I been playing this golf course for 3 years now, and I have not master this golf course yet, so it is somewhat challenging. It's a fair price golf course, well maintained as usual and I like the friendliness of the staff, I feel welcome here all the time.
excellent fairways and greens
The best golf course in Forsyth/Decatur Illinois, because of friendly staff, and hardworking greens keeper. It's November, and all the leaves from the trees has fallen, and the greens keeper worked hard to keep the leaves vacuumed and blown out from the fairways and greens, which makes it easier to find my ball. I played from different golf courses this time of the year, and I had a hard time finding my ball because of all those leaves on the fairways, but not this golf course. The greens are also clear of leaves, and well maintained. I definitely give those hard working greens keeper a big thumbs up, and also the pro shop for keeping an excellent customer service. Sometimes I showed up thirty minutes early, and if it's open the pro shop staff normally let me tee off. I went to the other golf courses in town and the pro shop staff won't let you tee off, although it's wide open. I highly recommend this golf course to anyone from any level of golfers.

Long hard course from White's 6,500 plus but great shape, greens fast but too pricey for Decatur

Walked in the club house said my name, they grabbed a key for the cart handed it to me. Asked me if I had any questions, I didn't and was teeing off with in 10 minutes!
Fantastic Golf Course in Forsyth IL
I can't get tired playing this golf course over and over again. The lay out is perfect for me and the greens are well maintained... friendly staff, clean bathrooms, and very affordable.

The greens are well maintained, excellent customer service, golf carts are in good conditions, some challenging holes, fair price for 18 holes with cart, awesome clubhouse, and good parking lot. Clean bathroom and pro shop have a few golf apparel, shoes, balls, and golf clubs.
Interesting mix of holes
Nice practice area. Course is well maintained. Course offers some nice holes that require strategy and shot making. Very playable and unique.
Challenging but scoreable
Nice course . We found a hot deal on GN and played for 37 bucks for the pair after taxes and fees. We played 18 in 3 hours and hardly waited . A couple walkers let us go through or we would have been there all day. Will definitely go back.
