Beautiful
Course is in pristine shape!!! Can’t wait to go back
Golf course of dreams
This course is similar to the baseball field in the movie, Field of Dreams. You drive up to it unassumingly, and walk into the simple, modest, yet somewhat charming looking clubhouse and you are greeted with a warm welcome. The carts are fairly new, if not new. When you pull up to the starter’s hut your eyes are just drawn to the fairways and tee boxes that are the lushest most vibrant hues of green that you could imagine! The greens are in just as great of conditions! While the greens could be a bit more undulating and challenging, they are not easy by any stretch either. Brian Smith the Superintendent there is a genius! His crew is ever present and the results show their dedication. This course is a now forever in my 2 week rotation! Well worth the price!
You won't think it's a public course
The course is pretty incredible. It has the feel of a private course. The only issues are the geese . They do not want to move.
Heritage Bluffs on a Sunday Afternoon
Heritage Bluffs is one of the best public courses in the Chicago Area. The course has great design character and the course is well maintained. The course has wonderful diversity and requires thoughtful shot placement. Green fees are reasonable and the course offers incentive rates for golfers who have scheduling flexibility for non-peak times. Their on site restaurant offers a great menu providing much more than standard golf course fare.
Jim and Jimmy from Chicago
Played on 32 degree day with Cary cover and heater. Very comfortable. Great round.
Course was in excellent shape. One of the best park district courses around. Beautiful layout and very challenging. Especially number 18, one of the toughest finishing holes around.
Fantastic course
Great course that I haven't played in 10 years. Still great.
The Layout is really nice and every hole is interesting and challenging in its own right. No compromises at the bluff.
You'd never know a great course sits behind the very plain and rural clubhouse. They take care of this course. Kinda like all these things.
Right off interstate 55 and worth the trip. Get out play this course!!
Aerating on 10/9 and 10/10 play it prior!!
I had avoided Heritage Bluffs after a very bad experience with putting conditions last year and early this year. With fall rates the course is now "affordable" and worth a play. A really nice well designed Nugent track with interesting green complexes. Overall course conditions are very good and the greens while slightly slow and sometimes a bump or two are in very good playing shape which was nice to see. Highly recommend you play the course prior to aeration next week Monday/Tuesday....otherwise recommend you wait until next season. Range, water jugs on course and a decent clubhouse no shower facilities. Beverage prices are average and the men's restroom is always filthy and smells like a barn. All in all we had a very nice day...with a light tee sheet the course moved along rather well. When crowded 5 hour rounds are normal. A solid 4 stars and the folks are always welcoming....a solid $35 to $40 course and normally the rates are much higher than that.
Great Course
Great Course layout, challenging and beautiful. Greens were rolling true, but speeds were inconsistent from hole to hole. Pace of play was awesome, Tee'd off at 845 and was done by noon. The bar has a great selection of beer including crafts. The practice range could be better but it is sufficient for warm ups before your round. I felt the practice green rolled faster then the course greens so beware....A must play if you have never, i highly recommend!
Great value with Golf Now
The price of playing this course has crept up in the past few years ($71). It has been high enough that that we have stayed away and played other courses we feel are justified for similar prices. The hot deal for today at $51 was a great deal and well worth the price. The course was in great conditionand I have always loved putting on the greens.as they are very true.
I am sure to be back again as I try to play at least a couple times a year..
Pace of play
Great course. 4:45 too slow pace of play. Saw ranger only once on 2nd tee
Heritage Bluffs just keeps getting better
Heritage Bluffs is one of my favorite golf courses bar-none. Played today (July 7th 2017) and with the long streak of dry days and some thrown in rain storms the course couldn't look much better. Maybe somebody could chime in with my question. Heritage sprayed their greens with the off green spray paint which makes the course look great. I've seen courses that overdo the green spray and it looks goofy. However, props to the greens keeper and the staff for making this track look excellent. They are still keeping the greens fees down, paid 50 bucks at high noon on a Friday in July. Really, wow that still is a steal for the type of golf course. Great layout, great facilities, great layout, and very fun course to play. Keep up the great work.
One of the Best Tracks in Chicagoland
I've played Heritage Bluffs about 8 times over the past 4 or 5 years and it never disappoints. It's one of the best designed courses in the area and is always in pristine condition. The other great part of playing this course is it's far enough out that you many times will see a deer walking thru the course or a hawk flying over head, which is always a treat for me. Also, the people working at the course are always very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this course!
Good challenge, great attitude
Greeting by staff was hearty and helpful.
Sculpted holes made you think about club selection.
Greens, fairways and tees maintained well above average for public course.
Will be back and bring friends.
Always a great course.
Always love Heritage Bluffs. Great layout. Challenges all clubs in the bag. Great condition.
A hidden gem
This course has a good mix of moderate to difficult holes. It is well maintained and worth the green fee. It has been designated a keeper with my golfing buddies.
