Decent course.
Course was in decent shape, however for the amount of money and distance away I was hoping for better course conditions. Pace of play took over 5 hours. Nice course if it were around $50 and under.
WINDY
Very good golf course in general. You have to get to know the greens here because there are a lot of down slopes that your ball will hit and bounce in a chipping area. Very fast greens, this time of year there a little beat up but that is expected. Fairways were in great shape. Views at this golf course are great, it makes me forget where I am when I play here. The wind was terrible 30 mph. 2-3 club difference still was a good day. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Great Course
Superb venue. Several nice courses out this way, but Bolingbrook Golf Club is top notch. Bending over backward to accommodate golfers is just the beginning of a great experience. Bring your A game.
Great Course
What a sleeper. Never expected to find such a premier golf course In the suburbs. There are plenty of excellent courses out here but this one is top notch in everything.
Course is good.
Clubhouse is second to none. I've been in many top notch private clubs and this might be in the top 5 nicest clubhouse I've ever seen. By far the nicest public clubhouse I've ever seen. Wow!
Wait, proshop and outside staff were exceptional.
The course overall is good but not great. The green complexes however are very difficult and challenging to navigate. Could be made to play harder for tournements fairly easily. I could see LPGA, Senior PGA or Web.com playing here for sure.
The driving range was large and double ended. I like that feature but the golf course end was filthy and unorganized. It looked shabby and uncared for. Basically a big eyesore in the middle of it all. The greens should be marked on the tee with yardages. The greens also should mimic that of the greens on the course. Limited greens from the clubhouse end. It looked as though it hadn't been picked in a week. Just bad. Most times it wouldn't be an issue but it's right out in plain sight. Yuk.
A tad overrated
This course seems to be all the rage since it opened several years ago, but I failed to see what all the fuss is about. This course excels with the facilities. The clubhouse and driving range is first class. The course itself, however, was nothing memorable. The greens were pretty beat up and the layout doesn't offer anything special. I feel the value for the money spent wasn't there.
Windy chilly day
First time playing the course. Winds were up 20mph+ which made an unfamiliar course even tougher.
Course was in great shape. Greens had many subtle breaks and contour which made it very challenging.
Would like to play again.
Unimpressed
I see some good reviews for this course but I did not care for it. The holes are not framed with any point of reference and the holes are not distinct with the exception of the island par 3. The course is poorly marked and the curbs on the cart path are a recipe for slow play. The staff was not friendly at all. No way I would pay to play here again.
Way to slow
Very nice course overall. Great course layout, especially the back nine. Course was in good shape, although I think the greens rolled a bit to fast. Despite that, we had a unsatisfactory round. Way to slow, nearly 5 hours for 18 and waited and almost every shot. Maybe we just went on a bad day. I'll probably be back to see if the pace is bad again. Would otherwise be a great course for a decent price.
Great shape
Course is in fabulous shape. Greens run true and smooth. They were quick but not outta control....
The course is challenging but plays fair with bail out areas around the green.
Highly recommend
Booked Bolingbrook for 40 bucks @ 320 on a Saturday afternoon. Course was in great shape. Greens were a 4.5/5. Quick. Rolled true. Only complaint was that I found more ball marks than I expected on a course this nice. That's more on the people playing it though. Tough but fair with 5 different sets of tees. Excellent and HUGE driving range with plenty of room to move tees around so there's always fresh turf to hit from. Kept in great shape. I would recommend this course to anyone for 65-70 bucks or less. Standard rate of 99 is a little high IMO. I will be back soon to play here again .
Great experience
I always wanted to play this course and it didn't disappoint. The staff is great and it was a private country club experience. Very challenging but rewards good shots. The green were true which made putting a dream. Got a great deal ($45) which enticed me to finally play the course. I have to say that I would gladly pay a higher fee in the future. My new favorite course.
Country club service and pace of play at a public course
This is a top five public course in the Chicago Area. The course and service are always top notch. I understand they get a bad rating sometimes by reviewers for value but you cannot compare the course and service level to the $50 a round courses in the area. This course should only be compared to the other top facilities in the area and I can tell you at the higher level the value at Bolingbrook has always been top notch. That includes having 10 minute tee times which gives you the pace of play everyone wants. The $50 course push you out as fast as possible and never manage pace of play.
Great overall experience.
It was raining the entire round but the course held up very well especially considering all the rain we've gotten in the last few weeks. The course is challenging but very playable. The greens were fantastic.
Great course
Challenging course. Open layout so wind is a factor. Nice mix of tees to choose from that change the look a lot. Great staff!!
Outing really slowed things down
If you are booking a tee time at Bolingbrook, just verify that there is no outing on the course when you'll be playing. Things were jammed up and we waited every shot.
Overall the course was in good shape, but the tee boxes and greens were pretty beat up, no doubt from all of the rain we have had.
I generally really like to play this course, but yesterday was a grind.
4 hours to play 13 holes
The first 13 holes were great. After four hours i couldn't stand waiting 15 minutes between every swing. Attention is needed to pace of play. The course drained well after recent rain.
Brutal pace! 5hr+
After watching/hearing multiple groups in front of us get comped for their round, case of ProV1, and case of Pinnacle "in case I'm playing bad" I should have kept my money in my pocket and played another area course for the sake of saving the hardship we endured trying to finish this round.
Country Club Member for a Day
Awesome Track, Great pace of play today, weather cooler than it should be should be but played in under 4 hours. Island Green and good risk reward. staff friendly, nice facilities. beers a bit pricey. Range balls included and a nice range, Fast greens that ran true.
Cart path only
Rained the day before, wet fairways, but overall good shape for spring
