While admire the effort of the District to get more usable golf holes to the Springfield public and the effort to restore the surface of this course, it's a poorly conceived layout on its best day. Unless it's rained about a foot before you tee off, be prepared for your Nike One Platinum with maximum spin to bound of the surface of at least three or four of the greens. Both 9s have plain vanilla starting holes.
Great folks in the new pro shop and good to have the golf holes back available to the public but you can't play this course and believe it was designed by anyone who actually plays golf.
