Aberdeen Golf Club brings a true Scottish-links experience to St. Louis golfers. While it's true that links-land is hard to find in Missouri, the course managed to transform the Meramec River floodplain in a way that makes you feel like you've been transported to the British Isles. The design incorporates many elements of traditional links golf courses including sod wall bunkering. In place of a windswept dune-covered coast, the Meramec River Bluffs provide a dramatic backdrop against the lush native grass terrain. Each hole has a different character and requires a unique strategy, making Aberdeen G.C. a true shot-maker's course. It demands length and accuracy as well as shaped shots to the landing areas and into the greens. Just like any true links golf course, wind is also a major factor.
