East at White Pines Golf Course
About
White Pines Golf Club is ideally situated for both locals and visitors with a convenient location that is just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago and only 10 minutes from O'Hare International Airport. The club has two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The East is the shorter and more player friendly of the two at 6,371 yards from the back tees. The fairways are seemingly narrow but there is some room for recovery if you have an errant shot. There aren't as many bunkers or water as on the West Course, but there is enough to provide a fun round. In addition to 36 holes of golf, White Pines G.C. also offers the Golf Dome, one of the world's largest indoor golf facilities. It features five target greens surrounded by bunkers, 50 hitting tees on two levels, and six suspended hitting targets for practicing your accuracy.

More Difficult Than the Scorecard Suggests
It's a bonus to play golf in the Chicago area in February. Temps were near 60 and it was pretty windy. Given that date, the course was in surprisingly good condition. The greens rolled pretty smoothly but, as expected, the speed from green-to-green was inconsistent. The course played longer and harder that the rating and slope would suggest.
I hadn't played this course in several years. The trees have grown and there are some pretty tight landing areas. I will make it a point to get back and play this course during the summer when the leaves are back.
The staff was great and the whole experience was way above average.
Dominic & Marty 18 Holkes
Course was in excellent condition, reasonable priced and perfect weather conditions
I have never not been delayed here, they also have 2 18 hole courses and still somehow ran out of carts when I came here previously and this time we come here and it’s delayed again. Course thinks it’s much higher end than it is.
Slow Sunday
We tried to book early in the day since Sundays are always bad. Before we teed off they were already backed up. 2 foursomes wre teeing off at our t time. The group in front of us were playing the back tees and 2 were beginners
As time went on we hoped the ranger would speed them up but didn't
I should of called the club house but didn't. 940 to 330
Enjoyable course but EXTREMELY slow play
East course…..Very nice old fashioned course with tree lined fairways…..especially the back 9. I liked the course and it was in good shape. However, the pace of play was horrendous…..so slow to the point I may never go back. No rangers to be found either. Too bad because I liked the course overall.
Pace of play
No ranger. Pace of play was horrible. 5 hour round, a group of 3some hold up the hole course. No staff or ranger came out to get group moving. Starter on the west course was sending everyone to the East course. Told us the group of 3some is slow, instead of tell the that group of 3-some course pace of play expectations. At least the weather was nice.
overall, good conditions, good course to play, pace was very slow
Great course. No delay
We had to wait a little on the first hoke back 9 but then things went smoothly. Very friendly staff and great course condition.
Course in Good Condition
Enjoyed my round on the west course Thursday.
We had a few sprinkles of rain when we first teed off but temperatures were great. The Greens and fairways were in great shape, but the rough was a little long (making some shots difficult). Plan to return this year to play the East course.
Needs a little TLC
This course was fine, especially at the very low rate via GolfNow. The tee boxes were very scruffy and uneven, and the bunkers were terrible. The fairways and rough were ok, and the greens were in pretty good shape considering no one who plays there seems to fix any ball marks. I would play here again but not rushing back.
2 halves
Shotgun start on the back nine, the back played tougher then the front, tough lay ups on the back if you can't stay in the fairway, the wind picked up and blew my drives off. The front played very easy with par able par 3's, broke 100, the 6$ bucket is awesome to range with before, 35 balls is perfect, chipping and putting greens in great shape. Very likeable course, challenging, narrow, Old School feel, makes you want to break out Grandpa's hat and wood woods. Will play again.
